**Description**

Mid-State Supply is currently looking for a Vendor Management Inventory Specialist to join their team in Alexandria, Louisiana. The Vendor Management Inventory Specialist oversees the operation of all the MSS site vending machines; ensuring the machines are stocked accurately and timely, keeping inventory records to make sure each delivery has all merchandise needed for each individual facility, ensures that each vending machine is operating properly. This position is the liaison between customers and the MSS sales team. When a vending machine is not working properly or is out of stock, the VMI Specialist is on call and will be responsible for correcting any issues that arise as quickly as possible.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Taking care of internal and external customers needs and concerns

* Maintain MSS site vending machines

+ Ensure each machine is working properly and functioning as the customer wants

+ Ensure each machine is stocked with the customers requested needs

+ On call daily as the point of contact for all MSS site vending machines

* Pull tickets and ensure all requested merchandise for each order is boxed and ready for delivery

* Delivers all needed supplies to each MSS site vending machine location

* Process stock orders for Field Sales Person

+ Delivers supplies when the ticket is complete from the Warehouse Team

* Assist the Warehouse Team with loading trucks to be taken out for delivery

* Handles own manifest

* Train the Warehouse Team on how the vending machines function

* Use material handling equipment when needed

* Assist as needed with rolling product/preparing product to be loaded into vending machines; sort, label, package, and stage product

* Manage emergency calls for inventory (vending machines/warehouse inventory)

**REQUIREMENTS:**

* High school diploma or GED is required

* Chauffeur license is required to operate company vehicles

* Local and out of town/state driving

* Clear motor vehicle history is required

* Must be able to successfully pass a background check.

* Ability to lift 50 pounds on a continuous basis

* Must be mechanically inclined

* Must have problem solving skills

* Experience with industrial products, customers, and vendors is required

* Acclimated to warehouse environment and hot / cold temperatures

* MS Product; database ERP experience (Eclipse, Solar experience is preferred)

* Good written and oral communication is required
