Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager who will have the responsibility of managing the team s performance and Analysing and Formulating Production plans for the Site and Inbound deliveries to keep stocks at optimum levels, to meet customer needs and the needs of the Business. Responsible for all on site and 3rd party logistics, supply chain and stock management, you will ensure that each stage of the distribution process is progressing on time, on budget and to the right standards to meet our customers service levels. Using all the Business resources to continually improve the customer experience across all Supply Chain Streams and support as required to deliver improvement.JOB PURPOSE:Establish and lead end to end supply chain activities with the objective of designing the optimum supply chain.To develop partnerships with suppliers and customers to deliver optimum cost and service.Responsible for leading the Stock, SOP and Forecasting team s implementation and execution of the supply chain management processes.To ensure that suppliers achieve the required level of performance in line with our purchasing requirements and customers are provided with the best level of service in line with their expectations.KEY TASKS:Develop appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.Analyse data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues.Evaluate and report on KPIs (Quality, Service Level & OTIF) on a weekly basis to the Business.Ensure that supply chain inventory and records are maintained in line with Finance and Business needs.Resolve issues that arise (e.g., failed, or late deliveries with the team)Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth and how this growth is delivered to the customer in the most cost-effective manner.Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.Develop appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.Work directly with sales department to determine most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers.Monitor and correct inventory levels at outside warehouses (3PL) and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.Ensure all systems operate smoothly and align with the businesses quality standards.Monitor daily operations and address potential issues when they arise and are communicated in a timely manner with customers.Monitor financial data and recommend solutions that will improve profitability.Communicate customer issues with the operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.Identification and planning of a third-party distribution network for products.Manage the performance of the third-party provider in terms of end customer service level.Manage, supervise, train, and develop existing staff.
