Job description
Using business process engineering techniques, develops technical solutions and management processes to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing systems or enterprise-wide solutions, using the company's or a third-party's hardware/software product. Develops and recommends solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure. Participates in solution proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities. Identifies additional product/services opportunities in customer organization. In general, customers view this employee as a consultant. Performance is typically measured by delivery of agreed to solutions within budgeted hours.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with customers across workstreams to design, configure and deploy appropriate solutions.
- Help design workflows, new processes, data flow and integrations with existing systems and business practices.
- Contribute and develop engagement letters and statements of work.
- Support Project Consultants in developing project plans, estimates and structure on large engagements.
- Assist in developing Itron's Consulting practice by interviewing potential hires and training new employees.
- Develop and enhance one or more areas of technical expertise and product knowledge.
- Develop and enhance one or more areas of technical expertise and product knowledge.
- Analytical skills. Experience in Utilities domain.
- Experience with AMI's, MDM Systems, Billing Systems, Network Communications Technology.
- Strong technology system aptitude and experience working with large technology systems.
- Sound understanding of AMI Data Collection, processing and billing processes and technology, meter to cash processes.
- Understanding of Billing Data and Validation and Estimation Processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of meter data, collections, payments, and billing best practices.
- Prior Consulting Experience a plus
- Experience with developing professional expertise
- Experience applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
- Applies technical skills to moderately difficult assignments
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of variety of factors
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Interacts primarily with peers across multiple teams
- Builds productive internal/external working relationships
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
- Established deadlines and approach for completing assignments
- Follows up to ensure expectations met and works to improve customer satisfaction
- Minimum of 10 yrs related experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
