**Description**
We are looking for our next **PRP - Therapeutic Support Specialist**!
**Schedule: Availability to work days, afternoons, evenings**
**PRP - Therapeutic Support Specialist Responsibilities:**
* Respect individuals rights by recognizing the dignity of each individual, encouraging their participation in problem solving and decision making and maintaining the confidentiality of all client information.
* Maintains the environment of care by complying with therapeutic standards, risk management policy, and procedures for maintaining client safety.
* Contributes to Performance Improvement at the individual, department and agency levels:
+ When working with youth, develops and implements skill-development strategies and interventions with clients to address behavioral/social/ and educational needs such as remedial educational instruction, tutoring, homework assistance, social interpersonal skills development, problem solving skills, parenting skills, self-care/life skills, therapeutic recreation, behavior management, anger management, etc., These may be accomplished through individual, or group contacts
+ When working with adults, develops and implements skill-development strategies and interventions with clients to address Independent living, Housing, Employment, Self-administration and management of medications, Mobility and transportation, Social relationships and leisure activities, Education and vocational training, Adaptive equipment or resources, and other factors that may pose a challenge to the individual's successful recovery and rehabilitation. These may be accomplished through individual, or group contacts
* Accurately applies knowledge of treatment approaches appropriate to the physical and developmental age of clients served.
* Understands and applies policies and procedures for infection control.
* Attends all required training and in-service courses as required.
**PRP - Therapeutic Support Specialist Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field plus 1-2 years of work experience with youth and/or adults with serious and persistent mental illness, or AA degree in related field plus 4 years work experience.
* Must be able to move freely between locations which may or may not be accessible to individuals with physical disabilities.
* Position requires intermittent standing, sitting, walking and physically capable of lifting and moving files/supplies/equipment up to 25 lbs.
* Individual requires sufficient visual and hearing acuity to perform duties of position.
