**Job Description:**

Bard Manufacturing Company, Inc., a leader in the HVAC industry, has an opening for a Customer Service Associate at our corporate facility located in Bryan, OH.

For over 100 years, Bard Manufacturing Company has been a family owned and operated company, leading the HVAC industry in light commercial, educational, and telecommunications markets. With production facilities in Ohio, Georgia and Mexico, we service our customers both nationwide and internationally by designing and manufacturing cutting-edge engineered products.

**Scope and Responsibilities** **:**

The Customer Service Associate is responsible for serving as a back-up for and providing support to personnel in the Customer Service Department, as well as handling miscellaneous administrative duties.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Serve as a substitute representative for Customer Service, as needed.

* Assist Customer Service Representatives with various customer requirements.

* Document and coordinate transportation issues for outbound shipments, i.e. damages, shortages, etc.

* Process return goods requests, follow through on issues, and complete the return goods credit memos.

* Give final approval for outbound UPS and 3rd party logistics bills.

* Calculate and process customer freight invoices for prepaid shipments.

* Check 3rd party logistics invoices and verify the proper fees have been processed.

* Issue miscellaneous credits such as rebates, safety net pricing, advertising allowances, commission adjustments, etc.

* Interface with customers and internal personnel on post-sales service functions.

* All other duties as assigned.

**Experience and Skills:**

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/abilities:

High School diploma required; Associates degree in business, logistics or related field preferred; or 2-5 years customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

* Computer aptitude (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, AS400)

* Superior written and oral communication skills.

* Ability to read and comprehend information and ideas presented in writing.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

* Being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
