Position Description Summary:

The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, is seeking full-time, Academic Hospitalists to join the Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine. Non-tenure track appointments will be made at a rank (Instructor/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor) and salary commensurate with experience.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include teaching house staff and students and directing the care of patients admitted to the general internal medicine service at the George Washington University Hospital. Some night coverage required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be Board certified/eligible in General Internal Medicine, and licensed in the District of Columbia, at the time of appointment. Applicants must have a minimum of one-year experience teaching residents and students and a record of providing excellent clinical care, research productivity, and excellent clinical teaching as demonstrated by experience, publications, evaluations and/or references.

Advertised Salary:
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
