**Assistant Warehouse Manager - Columbus**

The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for the organization, scheduling, and direction of the warehouse staff on a daily basis. Adjusts schedules as necessary in both the warehouse and drivers. Responsible for the warehouse inventory, ensure order accuracy fulfillment, drive productivity levels and upkeep of facility maintenance. Coordinates warehouse activities under the direction of the Branch Manager, and trains warehouse personnel to ensure well-coordinated shipping and receiving plan. **Responsibilities:**

+ Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

+ Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner.

+ Schedule deliveries and pickups at jobsites

+ Schedule fleet maintenance and repairs

+ Maintain database of the fleet vehicles and other equipment

+ Ensure equipment is up to date with DOT and OSHA inspections

+ Help with training and safety programs

+ Assist in pulling orders and helping customers

+ Professionally administer all incoming/ outbound calls pertaining to fleet/ deliveries

+ Ensure employees handle themselves in a professional and courteous manner

+ Perform all other duties as assigned or required by management

+ Supervise, manage, and direct the selection, training, development, appraisal and work assignments of personnel.

+ Take lead with completing weekly cycle counts and assist in annual physical inventories.

+ Participate in proactive team efforts in assigned company branch and affiliate branches to achieve departmental and company goals.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

+ Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skills.

**Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:**

+ One to two-year technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ High level of customer service

+ Time management and organizational skills

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Computer proficiency

+ Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.

+ Valid Drivers License

+ Forklift certification or like equipment experience demonstrating proficiency.
