**Summary of Job:** The Food Service Associate is responsible for preparing and serving food under the direction of the Food Service Manager.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Prepares and serves food in accordance with food safety requirements and departmental procedures.

* Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen by using proper food handling techniques.

* Ensures all food is dated and disposed of after sell date.

* Monitors refrigerator temperature and documents on daily temperature log.

* Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements:**

* Successful completion of Peer Employment Training thus obtaining Certification as a Peer Support Specialist required.

* Active and valid Food Handlers Certification required.

* Familiarity with Food Safety Regulations.

* Basic computer skills.

* High School Diploma or equivalent.

* Minimum of six (6) months of food service experience.

**Driving Requirements:**

* If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in RI International driving policy.

* If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed.

A Program Support Competency Checklist must be completed as part of the new hire onboarding process.

**Physical Demands:**

May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing/balancing on a step stool to reach supplies/equipment, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses. May be required to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.

**Work Environment**

May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility where some hazardous conditions may exist.
