**Description**

Antietam Broadband is looking for an energetic person who is willing to work hard and grow with our company. OurIT Support Specialists are responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure, local and wide area networks, provide support for all computers and computer systems tied to these networks, troubleshoot software issues, and maintain security for all systems. You will respond to user inquiries and assist in troubleshooting and resolve challenges with a customer service approach. This position is not remote.

**Responsibilities include:**

* Design, maintain and document IT infrastructure

* Administer local and wide area networks

* Manipulate or program software to meet the needs of users

* Support computer systems and assist users

* Maintain IT security

* Communicate effectively with others

* Quickly, accurately and calmly handle decision-making process

* Maintain updates on systems and application

* Ability to work extended hours and overnights as needed

* Ability to stay calm in stressful situations

* Ability to be on-call after hours, weekends and holidays.

* Sitting for extended periods of time

* Some crawling, stooping, climbing and repetitive motions

**You will need:**

* Valid and Clean Drivers License

* 5+ years of experience in IT operations

* Ability to troubleshoot and maintain IT infrastructure.

* Proven knowledge of PC operating systems, hardware and peripherals, email standards and protocols. Knowledge of DNS, DHCP and Active Directory preferred.

* Knowledge of technical aspects behind Networking, IT Security, Server and Desktop (Windows/Apple), Patch Management, Peripheral Support.

* Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly and thoroughly.

* Ability to administer and configure software to meet the needs of users.

* Ability to communicate technical information in a manner that is easy to understand.

* Ability to communicate with department heads about technology projects and technology systems.

* Ability to build and maintain relationships with users and vendors
