Apartment Maintenance Manager - Wabash/Sequoia Manor

Job description

Wabash/Sequoia Manor located in Baltimore, MD is searching for an experience Service Manager to lead the properties' maintenance operations! The Service Manager completes daily maintenance operations for the property. They will be responsible for scheduling and managing contractors and vendors, managing work orders, apartment turns and resident concerns. Previous experience as a residential maintenance manager strongly preferred.

***The salary for this position is $25 hourly based on experience***

Your job as our Service Manager is to lead the daily maintenance operations of the property.

As a Service Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosis and repair in areas such as: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, flooring, general maintenance and unit turnover
  • Working to achieve the operational goals of the property within company policies/guidelines
  • Conducting property inspections regularly, identifying interior and exterior work that needs to be completed
  • Managing move-in and move-out processes
  • Scheduling and executing routine preventative maintenance
  • Updating work order systems and generating work orders
  • Communicate with Property Manager to provide updates of projects, unit turns and work order status
  • Scheduling and managing contractors, vendors and third-parties


This position is ideal for those that enjoy and have experience in maintenance , and for those with experience in managing a system to fulfill service requests in a timely manner.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • HVAC Certification
  • Demonstrated plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills required
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to communicate in writing, and responding to emails
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with residents and staff
  • Superior customer service skills with ability to respond to clients with diplomacy, tact, and patience
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and computer applications
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to different cultures
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required


Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five years' experience in residential multifamily or facility maintenance
