**Pay Grade: J District Entry/Hiring Salary: $32,970.99/year

Salary is based on education and experience**

LOCATION: Information Technology, Columbus Department of Public Health, 2100 Comer Ave., Columbus, GA, 2nd Floor, Health & Human Services Center

DUTIES: Under general supervision, this position provides management information system user support on a continuing basis either by phone or site visit. Troubleshoots end user problems, analyzes, and designs software modifications to meet users needs. May develop and conduct training programs for software/hardware users. Duties include, but not limited to:

Assist personnel with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of system hardware and software, including, but not limited to, a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, PCs, Android, and Apple devices as well as Microsoft Office 365.

Ability to use industry standard diagnostic tools, both software and hand-held, to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely, and via phone.

Conduct daily network backup operations and assist employees with computer problems and answer related questions.

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Server (Active Directory), virtual machines, and basic LAN networking.

Must have basic knowledge of VoIP Systems.

Must have a valid drivers license as this position will be required to travel within the 16 counties of the West Central Health District.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: HS Diploma or GED AND Six months of education or experience in information security, privacy, system/network administration and support or application development AND training and experience necessary to independently provide technical support to computer users in an assigned office/geographic area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate to heavy physical activity and consistent exposure to working conditions that may interact with an employees medical or fitness condition. Physical activity may involve heavy lifting (above 45 lbs.), pushing or pulling; extended climbing, crawling, or bending and/or operation of potentially dangerous equipment, including motor vehicles.
