We need a certified Project Inspector for our team in Columbus, OH. As a detail-oriented Inspector, you'll ensure compliance with state specifications, plans, and proposals for various projects. You'll work with contractors, project managers, and team members, so good communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills are a must. Requirements
Project Inspector I Requirements:
High School Diploma or high school equivalency (HiSET, TASC, or GED) and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English and do basic math computation for length, area, and volume
AND
1. Construction project technical experience as follows:
a. One thousand six hundred (1,600) hours of construction project technical experience evidenced within the last 10 years.
WITH
2. Highway testing certifications including but not limited to:
a. ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade I
b. ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level I
OR
c. Ohio Aggregate Level I
AND
3. Demonstrate the successful completion of the following:
a. ODOT Flexible Pavement Test (Renew every five (5) years)
b. ODOT Traffic Work Zone Test (Renew every five (5) years)
c. Complete ODOT Commercially Useful Function (CUF) Training
OR
4. Possess one (1) of the following:
a. Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology or Construction Management or degrees that exceed these requirements.
b. National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level II in Highway Construction Inspection Certification.
