Are You Ready?

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) is searching for board-eligible or board-certified physicians in psychiatry to work part-time or full-time in "outpatient" settings and/or residential treatment units in various correctional facilities across Ohio. Our robust behavioral health advanced practice provider leadership team includes a state psychiatry director, assistant state psychiatry director, and state advanced practice nurse supervisor. Schedule:

* Weekdays, no nights

* No holidays

What You'll Do:

* Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system

* Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports

* Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing

* Managing medication

* Making referrals for specialized care or treatment

* Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice; ODRC policies, procedures, protocols; and related ACA standards

* Participating in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews

* Providing or sharing responsibilities of institutional 24-hour on-call as needed (provision of on-call services are included as part of the normal job duties and do not garner extra compensation)

* Engaging in collaborative agreements, as needed
