The Role
The Director of Tank Services is responsible for strategic business expansion, and for the development and growth of the tank services business line. This position requires a self-motivated individual to lead the multi-disciplined Industrial Services Team, contracts, and projects in the United States in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. The Director of Tank Services will work closely with other legal entities to provide fully integrated engineering, construction, repair, and maintenance services. Delivering at all times: safety, client satisfaction, profitable operations, and sustainable growth, while expanding into new sectors for tank service opportunities.
Qualifications:
10+ years' experience in the industrial or commercial construction industry, industrial preferred
Previous experience managing operations at a senior level
Delivery and improvement in industrial service contract environment
Operational management P&L accounting experience
Must demonstrate a strong ability to:
Deliver sound and timely legal advice
Adapt and be flexible to frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment
Demonstrate integrity consistent with Bilfinger's core values
Collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with people of various backgrounds and styles
Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include clear, concise, and professional presentation of information
Adapt to the constantly evolving world of technology, design, means and methods, systems may include but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project, Lean Construction Principles, other construction systems
Mentor and train assistant level operations team members
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Manufacturing, Scientific or Chemical Engineering or related field highly desired
Responsibilities:
Manage operations to ensure that safety of people and the environment is first and foremost in all we do
Tank services business line development and expansion
Estimating and oversight of tank services related projects
Budget and forecasting prep with executive leadership support, review and final approval
Client deliverables achieved by understanding and exceeding customer's needs and expectations in order to make their business a success
Key performance measures are put into place to both drive and monitor the success we achieve in delivering our customer's needs
Operations and projects are planned, scope or work, time and cost are understood, communicated, monitored and controlled and when required proactive mitigation is implemented
Profitability and targets of the contracts under your control are understood, maintained and maximized
Cost tracking and performance improvement initiatives are implemented
Close relationships with customer's key stakeholders are developed and maintained
Sustain growth of the contracts through strategic execution of our services to our customers and the expansion of service offering
Lead and grow the team to ensure compliance with all quality processes and company procedures
Ensure clarity surrounding individual roles and responsibilities within the operational team
Opportunities for personal growth and development are managed and recognition of talent with a continuous learning program is implemented
Support a strategy to evolve the business by analyzing customer needs and opportunities through continuous improvement
Developing growth strategy through close customer relationships
Monitoring customer feedback and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Collecting, managing and dispersing knowledge throughout the organization
Analyzing and monitoring the finance of all projects/contracts, present reports, budgets, forecasts and performance indicators
Performs other duties as assigned
Performance of the required job duties will be in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
This role can be based from a remote work from home office location with periodic travel to our Houston office along with frequent travel as needed throughout the United States.
