Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying a bi-directional Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E) cloud provider API Gateway. This gateway will enable the secure transmission of data between various source systems over a secure network. You will work closely with a team of interface partners from different organizations and agencies to define interface requirements, design the architecture, perform system testing, and deploy the API Gateway across two different agencies on the same classification network. Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with a team to design and build a bi-directional Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E) cloud provider API Gateway.
* Work closely with interface partners from different organizations and agencies to define interface requirements.
* Develop a to-be architecture for the API Gateway.
* Perform comprehensive system testing to ensure the functionality and security of the API Gateway.
* Deploy the integrated internal and external facing API Gateway across two different agencies on the same classification network.
* Follow Agile principles and participate in Agile ceremonies.
* Utilize JIRA for project management and issue tracking.
* Use GitHub for version control and collaborative coding.
* Ensure effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
* Continuously improve and optimize the API Gateway based on feedback and requirements.
Mandatory Skills:
* Significant years of development experience.
* Strong development experience using Typescript.
* Fundamental knowledge of Node.js.
* Experience with AWS services and AWS CDK.
* Understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
* Familiarity with JIRA for project management and issue tracking.
* Familiarity with GitHub for version control and collaborative coding.
* Strong understanding of APIs and their implementation.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with cloud provider API Gateway development.
* Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies.
* Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
* Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
* Knowledge of other programming languages and frameworks.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Software Engineer, specifically in API Gateway development.
