Our Lead endoscopy nurse plays a pivotal role in the success of the ambulatory surgical center by providing leadership to our endo staff and quality care to our endoscopy patients.
Job Duties
In this role, you will manage staff to ensure the provision of safe and effective nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing processDeliver compassionate, quality care to our
patients and nursing supervision as evidenced by adequate services
and staff coverage in the endo center
Directly supervise the ancillary staff in
the performance of their daily duties
Plan, develop, recommend, and implement
orientation and continuing education programs of the Endo Suite and
PACU
Communicate with the anesthesia team lead
regarding staffing schedules and obtaining anesthesia coverage and
managing contract relations
Promote a favorable facility image with
patients, gastroenterologists, anesthesia team, medical staff, insurance
companies, and the general public
Manage facility budget and ensure compliance
with relevant internal and external regulatory standards and policies
Candidate Requirements
Active Virginia RN licenseAssociate degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN requiredMinimum 2 years of endoscopy experience
(inpatient or ASC setting)Management skills with knowledge of
principles of personnel administration a plusCritical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
