Job Description
A Senior Technical Consultant, Development Lead is a member of RPI's technical services delivery team, that provides technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship. As an RPI Technical Lead, you will use your strong leadership and expert communications skills to guide the technical development workstream in large Infor CloudSuite implementations or other Technical Services projects.
What you'll be doing...
Manages the development process, source code control, assesses progress of each developer on the team
Directs the day-to-day activities of the developer, helping the developers to be successful
Guides team development efforts towards successful project delivery
Provides technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
Maintains high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
Chooses the methodologies and techniques that will be used by the developers to solve specific problems
Identifies and encourages areas for growth and improvement within the team
Collaborates with other developers, tech leads, functional leads to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain Infor applications
Works closely with Functional Leads in reviewing customer requirements, performing analysis, designing and documenting current state and future state workflows
Creates development specifications for developers that include flowcharts, class diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and a variety of other visual techniques to clearly convey the design to the developers.
Architects technical solutions to resolve gaps between client requirements and solution capabilities
Fleshes out any architectural details for the creation of technical solution design from which developers work and converts architectural concepts into deliverable solutions
Maintains regular communication with client, Infor, team members and team leaders regarding project issues, risks, and needs
Assists in the collection and documentation of business requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans
Prepares reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of developed items
Designs, develops, and unit tests applications in accordance with established standards
Participates in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
Performs code reviews to ensure developers are delivering what the specification calls for and is following appropriate coding standards
Leads code walkthroughs to ensure quality and help coach, train, and mentor budding developers in ways of thinking about the code more deeply and more thoroughly
Packages and supports deployment of releases
Validates configurations to verify that the development tenants configurations matches the testing tenants which in turn matches the production tenants
Analyzes and resolves technical and functional problems
Assesses opportunities for process improvement and prepares documentation and rationale to share with team members and affected parties.
Adheres to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
Supports solution validation and troubleshooting during testing phases and Go Live
Researches and evaluates a variety of software solutions, Infor technologies and release updates
Understands the cloud architecture and design for leading overall technical development
Finalizes strategy for Interfaces and Extensions (workflows, triggers, forms, etc.).
Supports the CloudSuite Project Manager in providing status reports, managing technical workstreams
Qualifications
Who you are...
Extensive experience providing technical support for the Infor CloudSuite Financials, Supply Management, and Human Capital Management applications, completing at least two full lifecycle implementations and include completing migrations/conversions from Lawson to Infor CloudSuite (Single tenant/on premise v9 or v10 to multi-tenant CloudSuite Finance, Supply Management and/or Human Capital Management)
Works on multiple projects
Works in a diverse, fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams
Is a great teammate who can work across the organization to improve the way we server our clients
Mentors and shares best practices with team members
Basic Qualifications...
8-10 years of experience architecting technical solutions to resolve gaps between client requirements and solution capabilities
Understanding of Infor SOA integrations between cloud and third-party systems
8-10 years of consulting experience
Effective written and verbal communications a must, with presentation experience
Experience with programming languages
Experience with both agile and waterfall approaches to SDLC
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively on a project team
Healthcare and/or Public sector experience preferred
Preferred Experience...
Managing development projects in reporting, integrations and extensions using Infor tools such as Configuration Console, IPA, ION, and Mongoose
Infor Landmark administration and the following Infor specific tech: Security, Spreadsheet Designer, Replication Sets and Data Lake, Process Automation, Ming.le and Birst CloudSuite Edition
Provisioning Infor CloudSuite Environments
Successfully guiding cross-functional teams through builds, preferably using agile methodologies
Infor Certifications in Lawson Administration, Landmark Development, Security Authorization, Process Automation, and Infor OS are preferred
