Commercial Litigation Attorney / Counsel

Job description

We are seeking a highly qualified mid-level associate to senior-level/counsel to work out of our Washington, D.C. office.


The candidate will have 3 - 12 years (classes 2012 - 2021) of strong complex commercial litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions, researching, drafting pleadings, managing e-discovery, and handling large-scale document productions. Experience with civil/criminal antitrust, class action, product liability, securities, environmental, corporate governance litigation, or internal investigations is also helpful but not required. Judicial clerkship is a plus. U.S. Federal Court experience is required.


Superior academic credentials, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required. Virginia State Bar and/or Maryland State Bar is a plus. Washington, D.C. Bar is required.


All candidates must be in the top 25% of their graduating class and graduate from one of the top 50 U.S. law schools. Candidates must have worked for a well-known law firm unless noted otherwise in the job description.


Candidates must also be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the hire date to be eligible for starting in the role. Proof of vaccination will be required. Am Law 100/200 firms will make reasonable accommodations based on medical conditions or religious grounds for qualified candidates.
