Process Engineer

Bellefontaine, OH

We are hiring a Process Engineer for our long-standing client, a global automotive glass manufacturer, for their Bellefontaine facility. This Process Engineer will determine and implement operations to develop processes and produce products, ensuring safety, quality, costs and efficiency requirements are met.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, implement and monitor processes and operating systems for the manufacture of glass products.
• Assist, advise, troubleshoot and expedite resolutions of corrective actions to facilitate cost reduction and control, work simplifications, safety, associate relations, budgetary conformance or other department needs.
• Create, edit and maintain documentation to maintain certifications.
• Monitor and improve efficiency, output, safety and quality of manufacturing processes.
• Assist in strategic planning, training and development of all associates.
• Lead technical and operating personnel in a team environment to improve processes.

Primary Requirements:

• BS Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• 4+ years process engineering experience in a manufacturing and/or automotive environment
• Utilize problem solving tools such as Six Sigma, Fishbone, KT, 8D, etc.
• Experience leading continuous improvement activities
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Knowledge of PFMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC and APQP processes
• Knowledge of quality systems, such as TS and IATF 16949
