Job Description

What You'll Do:

  • You'll be at the forefront of coordinating, developing, and leading the nursing staff of our Assistant Living building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitors the effectiveness of nursing practices with managing 24-hour nursing care in accordance with current policies, regulations, and guidelines that govern assisted living facilities.
  • Monitors and provides support and guidance to nursing management to ensure nursing staff are compliant with their respective job descriptions, and working within policy guidelines and performance standards.
  • Collaborates with HR Department in the recruiting, interviewing, and orientation process of new hires, as well as seeking assistance with managing associate performance deficiencies.
  • Assists the Director of Nursing and nursing management with the completion of associate mid-year goal check-ins and annual performance review process. Monitors the accomplishments of associate goals.
  • Facilitates in nursing department's Quality Assurance program which includes providing support and guidance to nursing staff for conducting audits, identifying problems, and developing plans of corrective action.
  • Ensures that licensed staff complies written procedures for the administration, storage, and documentation of controlled drugs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Current RN License from the State of MD.
  • Current CPR Certification, First Aid Certification within 30 days
  • MD Delegating nurse certificate or obtained within 30 days
  • Computer Literacy
