Job description

Metro Day is looking for Program Director that will be responsible for the overall operations and management of the day program. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring that the Metro Day policies and procedures, in-service programs, clinical and case management services, financial management, reports and other Metro Day operations are implemented according to state, federal and local regulations and professional standards. The Program Director is responsible for the supervision of the Activities Coordinators and the day-to-day operations of the program, including treatment plans, safety, dietary services and other services relating to the health, welfare and quality of life of the Persons supported by Metro Day



JOB SUMMARY

Key functions:

  • Ensures and participates in Metro Day orientation of all new employees; and provides in-service and training opportunities for staff and the Person supported.
  • Supervises efforts to foster a positive work environment and employs strong interpersonal and development skills to guide teams toward multiple goals within several resource/reimbursement models;
  • Supervises the implementation of fiscal processes and loss control programs to ensure appropriate allocation and use of financial resources
  • Approves and audits all program consultant invoices, and provides oversight in facility expenditures and staff payroll to ensure financial viability and budget compliance of the program;
  • Supervises the process by which Activities Coordinator develops and implements each Person s IPP to meet regulatory requirements and the Person s choices and needs in coordination with the Interdisciplinary Team process;
  • Provides opportunities for staff development and growth, including seminars, workshops, and outside training opportunities to enhance their skills, give them the opportunity to keep abreast with developments, and generally enhance Metro s mission, goals and programs;
  • Creates a positive atmosphere for communication between management and staff through receptive management, team building efforts, problem solving and the consistent adherence to all Metro Day s policies and procedures;
  • Oversees all program components to ensure compliance with applicable contractual legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Supervises activities to ensure compliance with Metro Days mission, goals, values and best practices to ensure responsiveness to the individuals choices and needs
  • Supervises the reporting of all Incident Reports within the program, consistent with Metro Day and regulatory policies, working in conjunction with the Metro Day Incident Management Coordinator;



Qualifications

  • Master s Level Licensed Nurse (MSN), Social Worker, Licensed Clinical (LCSW), Masters Level Professional Counselor (LPC), or Master s Level Psychologist, with a minimum of two (2) years experience in the case management for person with developmental disabilities: or
  • Bachelor s Degree in a Human Services or Related Sciences field, with a minimum of five (5) years experience with persons with developmental disabilities;
  • Knowledge of basic personnel management concepts with heavy emphasis on human relations, and other applicable federal and state regulations;
  • Ability to analyze and interpret rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures relating to the operation of Metro Day s program.
  • Previous supervisory experience, strong interpersonal skills, and strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Valid driver s license;
