Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer who will assist with the planning, design, research and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems; maintains current knowledge of hardware, software and network technology and recommends modifications as required.

Duties:

• Perform advanced break and fix troubleshooting and mentors more junior engineers
• Assist with the planning, design, research and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems; maintains current knowledge of hardware, software and network technology and recommends modifications as required
• Maintain current knowledge of hardware, software and network technology and recommends modifications as required
• Maintain documentation and updates the network and security infrastructure, tests and implements vendor security patches, implements workarounds for unpatched security vulnerabilities
• Troubleshoot problems with applications, network and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN appliances, proxy servers, DNS appliances and Wireless devices

Desired Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years of experience supporting end-to-end network technologies
• Experience with route switch, traditional network and multilayer switches
• Experience with Ansible Tower and Ansible AWXation Engineering
• Experience with automating platform setup for library in conjunction with infrastructure updates
• Experience with automating Cisco ISE, F5, and Palo Alto
• Technical certifications: Cisco CCNP-Enterprise or Datacenter, CCIE, Palo Alto PCCSA, PCNS, PCNSE, or F5
• Proficiency in more than one specific infrastructure technology
• Knowledge and experience with network automation with Python or JSON
