We are currently partnered with a client in the Structural Engineering Industry that have several offices throughout the US with one of them being in the DC area. We are looking to add a Structural Engineer to the team to focus on commercial, residential/multi-family projects.

The Client

The client we are working with are specialist Structural Engineers with multiple offices throughout the US that have completed hundreds of projects across a number of different building sectors. The client has a solid project pipeline and are looking to expand their team with Professional Structural Engineers. With the client being small to medium sized, you would have a lot of autonomy on the projects you are working on and the opportunity for career progression and exposure will come at a faster rate.

Location: Arlington, VA

The Role

We are currently looking for a Project Structural Engineer who has experience ideally working on various different construction types including concrete, steel and timber. A lot of the work is within the multi-family industry however you would also be exposed to a number of other industries. Within the role you would be completing hand calculations based on engineering principles and building code requirements, produce project documentation for client submission, complete on site meetings and prepare written reports for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
• EIT or PE
• experience with wood, masonry, post-tensioned concrete, mild concrete and structural steel
