Proceeds from traditional Lottery games support K-12 public education in Virginia. Taxes generated by sports wagering and casino gaming, which are regulated by the Lottery, benefit other priorities of the Commonwealth.

The Virginia Lottery is seeking an hourly Sales Merchandiser for the Winchester Sales Area (consists of, but not limited to: Gainesville, Manassas and Woodbridge). The Sales Merchandiser will support sales representatives in the NOVA Sales Area by loading Lottery vending machines, filling and maintaining counter dispensers, building and set-up of merchandising displays, slotting new games during launch periods, assisting in special projects and other various tasks as assigned. The Sales Merchandiser works closely with the Area Manager and Sales Representatives to accomplish the sales and distribution goals of the Area. This is an hourly position without benefits with less than 30 hours per week. Hours/week may vary based on business need. Some weekend work may be required. A state vehicle is provided along with a gas card. Minimum Qualifications Must be able to work independently with low levels of supervision, possess strong interpersonal communication skills, organizational and time management skills; present a professional and engaging personality; good math skills and ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. On occasion, may be required to work a 12-hour day, be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs., and use common household tools. Travel and weekend work may be required. The successful candidate must be willing to travel within a wide radius of the Winchester sales area. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of consumer package goods industry is preferred. Experience working with lottery and/or special events is a plus. A 4-year degree or comparable field experience preferred. Special Requirements The selected candidate will be required to complete a background investigation and possess a valid Drivers License.
