**Job Description:**

Embassy Suites by Hilton Cincinnati Northeast in Blue Ash, Ohio is seeking a high energy, goal oriented sales professional to own the group sales market for the property.

**POSITION PURPOSE**

Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals (room night, average rate, food and beverage and room rental) are achieved or exceeded. Markets include: corporate, business travel, association, and SMERF. Candidate must have an understanding of booking guest rooms, meeting space and the ability to detail light catering as needed.

**EXAMPLES OF DUTIES**

* Comprehensive knowledge of market position, banquet and food & beverage revenues, pricing and rate structures, sales strategies, yield management, booking trends, and future hotel planning.

* Work closely with clients to understand all requirements of event functions and guest room needs.

* Be fully knowledgeable of competitive markets outside the area.

* Be fully knowledgeable of the capabilities and limitations of the hotel and departments that may impact sales strategies

* Follow Sales policies and procedures as developed in the annual Marketing plan

* Make outside sales calls to solicit new business

* Conduct site tours of hotel for potential clients

* Maintain professionalism in problem situations.

* Maintain detailed records of discussions with clients, including all event requirements, agreed terms/conditions and payment details so there is no issues in the contracting phase

* Attend trade shows, industry and local events that create opportunities for networking directed by the Director of Sales

* Occasional travel required.

* Develop creative marketing techniques

* Achieve and exceed individual and team annual goals as established by the annual Marketing plan..

* Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses and maximize profitability related to the sales department.

* Maintain correct procedures for credit control, financial transactions, and security of financial assets.

* Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.

* Ability to accurately use various office and sales software.

* Previous Hilton experience a plus

* Previous SalesPro experience a plus

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education:**

College education and relevant training and experience required. Additional education preferred.

**Licenses or certificates:**

Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.

**Training and Experience:**

Past hotel sales experience preferred
