Investment Communications Analyst - Fixed Income

Job description

Our Client Communications team is primarily responsible for delivering our differentiated investment perspectives to our clients and their advisors through compelling content delivered in multiple formats. The team plays a critical role in supporting our Client Service efforts, and also partners with Investment Research, Legal, Compliance, and Operations colleagues. The team contributes to our overall effort to preserve and enhance our reputation among all of our stakeholders, including extending our reputation in markets outside the United States.

To support our goals, the team is seeking a Fixed Income Investment Communications Analyst who will:

  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues, members of the client service team and investment professionals to help develop and produce compelling content that illustrates the firm's intellectual capital for our clients.
  • Contribute to the content development and production processes for our reporting, including creating, updating, and/or reviewing Fund and investment strategy-related materials, such as investment commentaries, shareholder letters, exhibits, live webcasts, and semi-annual and annual reports across our market segments globally.
  • Research, interpret, and prepare portfolio and market analytics to aid in the creation of internal talking points and external investment communications materials.
  • Partner with colleagues to articulate our investment strategies effectively for all of our internal and external stakeholders and tailor related digital content (including versioning by audience type).
  • Help ensure all internal and external messaging is consistent across investment strategies, reflects the Investment Committees' current outlook, and is compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide ongoing project management support for our investment strategy and client communications initiatives, reporting processes, and a broad range of ongoing and ad-hoc projects.
  • Compile and analyze quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback to measure the effectiveness of our content initiatives and inform our content approach.
  • Partner with our Legal and Compliance departments to ensure communications adhere to marketing and advertising requirements.
  • Ensure quality control of materials and compliance with internal processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the other Communications team colleagues and provide backup support for other team members when needed.


The Ideal Candidate:
  • Has an interest in investing and following and understanding financial markets.
  • Holds a B.S. or B.A. degree with an excellent academic record.
  • Ideally has a minimum of three years of experience in the asset management industry in a research, client service, communications and/or marketing role. Familiarity with mutual fund marketing rules is preferred.
  • Has meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Has a proven ability to meet time-critical deadlines with accuracy.
  • Adapts to changing requirements and timelines, based on business and regulatory needs.
  • Has a track record of effectively contributing to content development process for thought leadership initiatives.
  • Collaborates well with peers as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and colleagues of all levels and tenures.
  • Brings intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit, and willingness to learn and apply new skills.
  • Exhibits strong integrity through commitment to excellence, personal accountability and professionalism.
  • Takes initiative and perseveres to see projects and job responsibilities through, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • CFA charterholder or willingness to become a CFA charterholder is highly desirable.


Requirements:
  • Dodge & Cox has a 3/2 hybrid work model, and all Dodge & Cox employees are required to be in their assigned office as noted in the job posting Tuesday - Thursday each week, with the option to work remotely on Monday and Friday.


The salary range for this position is $105k - $140k.

The listed pay scale denotes only the pay range of the base salary and does not include discretionary bonus compensation, which may make up an important portion of the total remuneration. Dodge & Cox encourages applicants to consider the value of the many competitive benefits it offers, including coverage of 100% of all healthcare premiums for employees and their families and fully funding a retirement plan at 25% of the total compensation up to the IRS Defined Contribution limit (See IRC 415 for current limits). The listed pay scale reflects the base salary Dodge & Cox reasonably expects to pay for this position and is not a reflection of the highest and lowest base salary of any current Dodge & Cox employee. Actual base salary will be based on factors such as the candidate's prior relevant experience (including within and external to Dodge & Cox, as applicable), education, skills, and knowledge.
