Job description

Introduction
As a Package Consultant at IBM, get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. Our team takes on the challenge of designing, developing and re-engineering highly complex application components and integrating software packages using various tools. You will use a mix of consultative skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into our clients' business environment and achieve business results.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Provides expert level business process guidance on Navy ERP s SAP requirements and design. Designing/configuring business processes in SAP FM to automate the management and external reporting of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management; manage posting periods and period end closing; and enable open and integrated data flow between financial account and the other components of the SAP system.

Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.


This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance or higher.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 10+ years SAP FI/CO experience. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in 1+ functional module
  • 5+ years designing/configuring business processes in SAP Funds Management (FM). Ex: Budgetary Ledger, FM Derivation, Budgeting and AVC Control.
  • Software development lifecycle: gathering, analysis, design, development, documentation, test (unit, functional, integration, regression, stress, and user acceptance), implementation, and post-production support of standard and custom business solutions supporting (in a Tier 3 environment)

  • Bachelor s Degree in recognized technical, engineering, scientific, managerial, business, or other discipline related to area of expertise. An additional 4+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for Bachelor s Degree.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance or higher


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Knowledge of and experience with DoD and specifically Navy ERP
  • Federal experience
  • Experience in post go-live production support and break/fix
