Responsible for accurately selecting the block/masonry products ordered by the customer and safely loading onto delivery vehicles according to established safe loading procedures. Also responsible for performing routine maintenance on equipment, ensuring that the block yard area is properly maintained and organized and assisting walk up customers with loading materials as needed.

* Performs daily routine checks of compressors and bag houses to ensure equipment is operating.

* Prepares equipment for plant start-up each.

* Observes incoming raw materials to ensure required specifications are met.

* Operates forklift to move, place and load masonry.

* Operates screener and ensures adequate inventory of ash for block plant.

* Conducts physical inventory of raw materials and finished product as needed.

* Performs routine maintenance on front-end loader/forklift.

* Performs general housekeeping tasks in and around the plant building and yard as needed including tasks such as sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, cutting grass.

* Maintains the overall orderly organization of equipment and supplies in and around the yard.

* Maintains cleanliness and appearance of plant.

* Maintains current knowledge of masonry products produced and available.

* Assists customers with loading and safely securing products.

* Other duties as directed by the plant manager.

Qualifications:

* Valid/current VA drivers

* Experience with general or routine maintenance

* Ability to safely operate a front-end loader and forklift.

* Demonstrated ability to follow instruction and work

* Demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple tasks

* Ability to read, write and distinguish

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
