At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a Project Manager a typical day will include the following duties:

JOB DESCRIPTION

The project manager is responsible for delivery of customer focused projects. The candidate will work closely with various software engineering, infrastructure and technical operations teams, as well as other project managers to assess requirements, coordinate resources and deliver projects for our customer. The Project Manager must possess strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills while having the ability to articulate highly technical and complex project requirements to both customers and internal teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor s Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience, including supervisory experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
  • Effective management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Outstanding customer focus and service skills
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
  • Professional certification (PMP) preferred
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work cross-functionally and communicates to all parties involved in a project
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that all deadlines are met
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and project participants
  • Create presentations and reports to communicate project status
  • Provide technical, administrative and operational management of assigned project tasks, including contract and subcontract management
  • Supervise assigned staffing
  • Attend customer meetings and may serve as primary liaison
  • Coordinate development of deliverables
  • Participate in special projects as required
