Description Leidos Health Mission Solutions is seeking a Security Section Manager on a large network services opportunity supporting the National Institute of Health (NIH) in the Bethesda, MD area.Candidate MUST be local to the DC Metro area for onsite work and be a US Citizen or US Person with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.Job Summary:The Security Section Manager (SSM) leads a network security and performance management team supporting a large NIH enterprise network system. The scope of work for the team includes sustainment of multiple security-related services and devices. It also includes installing, configuring, and managing a very large suite of network tools. The SSM reviews and implements security policies, regulations, rules, and norms and ensures that the network infrastructure environments are secure. The SSM will work directly with the Program manager, operations and architecture team leads as well as Leidos leadership.Primary Responsibilities:Prioritize, assign, and oversee completion of security and network performance engineering staff tasksEnsure that operational security objectives are being met per customer s expectationsPerform project planning and estimating for new security tasks as requested by the customerEnsure service level agreements (SLAs) are met for incident response and other security-specific SLAsEnsure delivery of reports and required security section contractual documentsImplement and maintain the program cybersecurity planDevelop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices for the organizationCoordinate with the program Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to ensure that IT security audits are conducted on scheduleProvide operational oversight, coaching to team leads, mentoring to junior staff, and succession planning for the programDevelop employee base to achieve high degree of employee retention and performanceMinimum Education and Experience: Ten (10) years of Network Security experience for comparable enterprise network and security servicesBachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related discipline OR possess one or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CCNP, CCIE CertificationFive (5) years experience in leading teams of 5-15 security and system administration professionalsKnowledge of network security technologies including firewalls; Web Filtering; Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS); Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS); Network Access Control (NAC); Domain Name Systems (DNS); Application Delivery/Load Balancing; Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate ManagementExperience configuring and operating network monitoring, traffic, and infrastructure toolsExperience supporting System Accreditation and Authorization activitiesDemonstrated ability for oral and written communication with customers and internal managementDesired Qualifications:Certified PMP (Active certification required)Experience using ServiceNow Project Portfolio ManagementITIL 4 Foundation certificationDemonstrated current and significant relationships with NIH, HHS or comparable civil government executives and mid-level managers, particularly in IT operations, network and security servicesGood understanding of Cisco and other vendors of network devices and softwareExperience working with VMWare vCenterExperience with ScienceLogic SL1hhsnihOriginal Posting Date:2024-03-21While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
