Job Overview

As the Sr. Manager of Program & Project Management(PSAT), you will play a pivotal role in helping our business to continue to grow its market leading position, deliver on critical business goals, and build world class products & platforms. You will work closely with the Leadership Team and your peers to design, develop, and implement a variety of cross-functional strategic programs, while also mentoring and growing your team of program and project managers.

In addition to working with your team you will also be expected to work collaboratively with other program and project management teams across Proofpoint for cross team planning and help drive programs across the business.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and driving strategic initiatives in the form of programs, leading one or more programs at a time, and mentoring members of your global team. Your specific responsibilities will include:

Project Planning

  • Working with your team and peers to develop comprehensive implementation plans, including project scope, goals, and timelines.

  • Leading a cross-functional project team and providing clear guidance, support, and direction throughout the implementation process.

  • Maintaining centralized project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and risk assessments.

  • Identifying, managing, resolving, and/or escalating issues/risks at the program level.

  • Providing regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results


Stakeholder Management

  • Drive planning and decision making amongst peers to develop yearly plans to faciliitate achieving our business units goals

  • Collaborating with various departments and key stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.

  • Establishing clear lines of communication, meeting cadence, and ensuring ownership from all relevant parties.

  • Exceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.

  • Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep seated empathy for teams and partners


Key Performance Areas

Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to deliver committed program outcomes in a timely manner, demonstrate effective negotiation and leadership skills, manage and resolve issues/risks at the program level, drive a collaborative and performance-driven work culture, provide mentorship to team members, support stakeholder escalations, and demonstrate thought leadership.

Qualifications

The candidate is required to have a bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred), with at least 15 years of professional experience. You should have a solid understanding of the security space, excellent leadership, communication, and people skills, proficiency in project management software and tools, and strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Experience in any of the following areas is preferred

  • Demonstrable experience as a thought leader in program and process management and experience tailoring methodologies to align with organizational culture

  • Experience with Jobs to Be Done and Team Topologies frameworks and applying them to business problems and processes

  • Proven ability to measure success and impact through quantifiable metrics

  • Experience with processes that enable product transformations

Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable pay and/or equity. SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 189,750.00 - 278,300.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 158,400.00 - 232,320.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 144,825.00 - 212,410.00 USD
