C3 Solutions Engineer

THE POSITION
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the NMCC Staff Systems Solutions Engineer on the IIMS-ITSS contract, overseeing C3 support for NMCS Primary Command Center operations at NMCC and NMCC Site-R. Ensuring a fully synchronized, secure, and mission-capable NMCC, facilitating effective execution of NMCS Mission Essential Functions/Mission Essential Tasks (MEFs/METs).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leadership and Representation: Function in a leadership capacity, serving as the key representative for Communications Watch Officer (CWO) matters. Act as the solutions expert for intricate problems, utilizing ingenuity and creativity.
  • Systems Analysis and Planning: Conduct technical planning, system integration, and comprehensive analyses across all levels of total system products. This includes hardware/software, concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Team Management and Collaboration: Manage CWO Job Qualification Standards (JQS) and oversee certification training. Monitor team performance, collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to identify and resolve issues, update procedures, and conduct after-action reviews.
  • Technical Systems Engineering Support: Provide high-level technical systems engineering support through site surveys, system evaluation, analysis, architecture, and infrastructure assessment. Apply advanced Information Technology (IT) skills to enable the NMCC to effectively execute NMCS Mission Essential Functions (MEF) and Mission Essential Tasks (MET).
  • Problem Management and Resolution: Demonstrate initiative, organization, and responsibility in a fast-paced environment. Conduct problem management efforts on NMCS, utilizing trend analysis to identify and address underlying issues. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into total systems solutions.
  • Advanced Technical Solutions: Apply or recommend advanced technical solutions, principles, theories, and concepts for resolving issues in operational programs. Contribute to R&D programs and recommend technological application programs for achieving long-range objectives.
  • Project Leadership: Lead medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects. Conduct research, analysis, and development of hypotheses/conclusions. Produce final reports and deliver presentations, ensuring project results meet customer requirements for technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost.
  • Sound Independent Judgment: Exercise sound independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results under the contract. Identify needs and anticipate customer requirements through effective planning, scheduling, and overseeing analytical analysis.
  • Goal Setting and Client Direction: Establish goals and plans aligned with project objectives, applying domain and expert technical knowledge. Direct and control client activities, ensuring technical requirements are met, and manage monthly exercises and COOP activities for JCN. Provide timely reporting.
  • Compliance and Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with safety and security requirements, policies, and procedures. Adhere to worksite access protocols and updates, training requirements, required certifications, and fulfill other duties/projects as assigned.

  • 100% on-site at the Pentagon.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, AND;
  • Minimum Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility, AND;
  • 5 years of general technical experience, preferably supporting NMCC systems engineering/analysis in military environments, demonstrating expertise in DoD unclassified/classified settings; AND,
  • 5 years of experience leading complex IT projects

PREFERRED
  • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT-II) Certification CompTIA Security+CE
  • Experience supporting the NMCC (National Military Command Center)
