InformationJob Summary:The Temporary Data Center Manager is responsible for managing a variety of administrative activities essential to the operation of the Kilts Center s data center. The primary responsibilities include executing day-to-day operations of the data center by supporting processes associated with data subscriptions and compliance. The individual will be responsible for interfacing with potential new customers, supporting existing customers, executing contracts, processing payments, and tracking individual researchers annual updates. To accomplish these tasks, this person must be prepared to develop a deep knowledge of multiple business processes supported by customized software and database. In addition, this position will include other administrative support for the Kilts Center. This team member works collaboratively with other team members and Chicago Booth departments to accomplish these goals.This position is part-time (25 hours a week) and will work remotely. This position is expected to last approximately one year.Responsibilities:Data Subscription Contracts - help secure academic data subscription sales and renewals by fielding all new contract inquiries, interfacing with potential subscribers, send contracts to appropriate parties for review and consideration, and manage steps to finalize and execute new contracts with academic institutions.Subscription Payments - ensure subscription fees are paid, processed, and tracked. This involves but is not limited to f ielding questions about payments, filling out third-party vendor payment forms, and completing internal payment tracking and processing.Triages Researcher Support Inquiries - monitor data center mailbox, answering and triaging customer inquiries about processes, contracts, and data. Provides customer support by phone when necessary.Researcher Proposals, Publications, and Annual Updates - help ensure researcher compliance by ensuring researchers fully complete individual annual updates.Other office support responsibilities, related projects and tasks as assigned.Competencies:Organizational skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail required.Proven ability to work independently required.Work well within a team of highly motivated individuals required.Experience providing excellent customer support required.Work on and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ask questions as necessary and meet deadlines under pressure required.Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.Outstanding
professional/interpersonal
