The Business Technology organization at Elastic acts as a liaison between our IT delivery teams and our business stakeholders. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst supporting the Field organization, you will focus on the design, development, and maintenance of the business architecture and processes which support our sales motion from campaign to opportunity. Using your knowledge of Salesforce and its boundary systems, you will work with business partners, end-users, and their management teams to improve processes, writing requirements and guiding features that deliver simplicity and scale to the teams you support. A successful candidate will be able to work directly, in a hands-on way, with systems and data, and can lead multiple technical priorities at one time. You enjoy having a high degree of responsibility for turning ambiguous problems into solutions that are usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable on the Salesforce platform.

This role is for you if you possess a blend of business engagement skills, passion for technology and automation, attention to details, critical thinking, and a strong desire solve problems that drive business growth. One should have excellent communication and project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex concepts, in a clear and easy-to-understand way. You pride yourself in bringing a strategic lens to agile development and you craft thoughtful technology roadmaps which balance today's needs versus future scale.

What You Will Do:

Bring a design-centered approach to your partnerships with our sales teams, particularly reps, renewal managers, solutions architects, and the strategy, operations, and enablement teams that serve them, along with adjacent teams in marketing, product marketing, and sales development. You optimize our sales stack through ongoing maintenance and new enhancements.You document processes, procedures, and design as it relates to sales processes and system architecture. That holistic viewpoint helps us understand functional impacts with regard to configuration, process, workflow and reporting.You proactively identify where current state automation or architecture is prohibiting the company to scale at pace and suggest enhancements.You have extensive experience in creating/updating system documentation including configuration changes, data mapping requirements, functional designs, test cases and enablement plans as needed for enhancements.Validate software quality and conformance to specifications and business requirements through unit-functional testing; and assist in troubleshooting to identify the root cause of defects in the system.Work with management, Project Managers and Application Development team to scope work and produce estimates.Collaborate closely with architects and other BSA resources to define and implement effective and efficient solutions to business challenges and opportunities.You are comfortable in a distributed, diverse environment, and are able to work remotely and independently. You prioritize your own tasks and collaborate with others to ensure that work is done in a timely manner, with a sharp eye for quality and scale.You like change, and can adapt to the changing priorities. You see yourself as a life-long learner and proactively develop new skills.

What You Bring:

5+ years of experience in Salesforce, especially in Sales Cloud.3+ years of of experience in at least three of the following application areas (in regards to integrations with Salesforce): forecasting applications, sales productivity tools, sales activity tools, territory management, data quality, third party research tools, compensation management, lead process management, campaign management, marketing automation,Experience designing and supporting large scale, technically complex solutions on Salesforce and associated ecosystemAdept at identifying technical faults and capable of drawing on past experiences to drive improvementsExperience in developing business process and requirements for integrating Sales Cloud with boundary systems: Clari (Sales forecasting), Marketo (email automation / marketing automation), Xactly (compensation), and othersComfortable navigating and deciphering configuration and code within Salesforce to create documentation on existing automation and system architectureYou have a deep understanding of software testing with knowledge on building test plans and executing them in unit, functional and user acceptance test cycles.

Functional Skills:

You have strong interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of Territory Management, Data Enrichment, Lead Process, Opportunity Management, Sales Productivity, Forecasting, and Sales CompensationDeep experience and expertise translating business requirements and processes into low friction automation and high impact systemsPassion for exceptional documentation including diagrams, standards, and project papersMust be able to explain complex systems and technical topics in a clear, concise manner to others who may have minimal technical knowledge using oral, written and visual presentationsPast experience with a Lightning migration / in a LEX-enabled environmentPast experience with a multi-channel organization with a focus on SaaS and subscription products.Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills to set up and interpret logic, data tables, and rule relationships.You have the desire to learn and apply new technologies.Understanding of multi-channel offerings, particularly SaaS and subscription products.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program. Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.

$94,300 $149,200 USD

The typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed above is:

$113,300 $179,200 USD
