Must be flexible with work schedule.Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area, or other equivalent mixture of education/certification and experience.Experience working in a System Administrator capacity setting up and supporting windows servers and workstations; enterprise software packages.Experience working with Microsoft 365, strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and office 365 troubleshooting.Two or more years of experience working with VMware, Vsphere, Vcenter, and Vmotion.Strong knowledge of networks systems, security, data storage, back-up software, and data processing systems (Microsoft SQL, etc.)Familiar with a variety of the field s concepts, practices, and procedures.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Able to sit, stand, bend, walk, climb, and remain in static positions for duration of shift.Driver s license with ability to travel to job sites to assist users with issues, installation, etc.Willing and able to use cell phone to respond to and handle after-hours calls and/or respond to remote users.Strong organizational skills.Effective communication in English (aural, written, verbal). NOTE: Must be able to explain technical concepts to users with limited IT knowledge.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesUses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks systems and devices.Under general direction from IT Director, assists in the development, installation, configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure, utilities, software, and systems.Analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, or other network problems (including disaster recover).Coordinate and implement network security measures, device/systems set-up/configuration, and peripheral set-up.Monitor network performance to determine if updates are needed.Order and install hardware/software for network users.Research new hardware and software for network use, including generation of proposals and cost estimates.Install and update/enhance current and new versions of the operating system and utilities.Provide training on the use of network hardware and related software applications, including on-the-spot/brief training to meet users needs.Ensure proper licensing of software/hardware.Accessibility: If you need an accommodation as part of the employment process please contact Human Resources atPhone: 301-###-####Email: ...@shapiroandduncan.com
