This position is perfect for a financial professional or accounting professional looking to move up!POSITION SUMMARY OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER:As the Senior Manager of Finance and Administrative Operations, you will play a crucial role as the controller and financial accounting manager for our non profit. You will direct this organization's financial and support requirements including accounting and controllership, budget analysis and reporting, receipts, internal controls, payroll, audits, administrative operations, and facilities management. We are seeking a business leader with proven leadership skills, business judgment, and management experience to meaningfully impact the organization and who is willing to be hands-on when needed.SCHEDULE/ LOCATION /SALARY:Flexible hours - Monday-Friday, Business Hours.This role is a hybrid position with 3 days in the office. Candidates must be within commuting distance of Oakton, Virginia.Salary $90,000-115,000. Estimated starting salary based on qualifications and related experience.Oakton, VABENEFITS:403(b) with Immediate Company MatchingMedical, Dental and Vision InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramFlexible ScheduleGenerous Paid Time OffPRIMARY DUTIES:Financial Management: Lead the finance team, reviewing and approving payments including payroll to ensure accuracy and completeness, overseeing accounts receivable and funds received by the organization in accordance with strong internal controls.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer in developing, monitoring, and managing the annual budget, and preparing financial forecasts to support strategic planning.Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues. Produce accurate and timely financial reports, for internal and external stakeholders.Grant and Contract Management: Oversee financial compliance for grants and contracts, including budgeting, reporting, and ensuring adherence to agreement requirements guaranteeing the fidelity of financial data to meet the standards of the federal single audit.Audit and Compliance: Manage the annual financial audit process including the 403b plan and single audits. Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and implement effective internal controls.Financial Leadership: Provide ongoing budget training to clinical staff to ensure understanding of their program's revenues and expenses, and how their program impacts the organizational budgetOperations: Supervise administrative functions, including office operations, facilities management, and vendor relationships.Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and sound physical environment to meet all health, safety, licensure, and accreditation requirements including those of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This is accomplished by the effective management of the Operations Coordinator, the utilization of PRS vendors and other HopeLink staff to complete the health and safety activities.Technology Management: Through the management of outside IT and telecommunications contractors, ensure all aspects of the organization information technology infrastructure is operational, appropriate, and maintained.QUALIFICATIONS:Proven finance professional with 5+ years of broad financial experience with responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data, reporting, and audit coordination. Supervisory experience required.Dedication to the organization mission is essential with prior experience in a non-profit organization preferred.A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business is required; advanced degree in a related field a plus.Operations and/or administration management experience.Working knowledge of CFR 200: Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards preferred.Ability to translate financial concepts to and to effectively collaborate with programmatic colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds.Solid understanding of computer systems, networks, security, applications, and telecommunications systems with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with IT vendors.Experience at an advanced level with Excel.Proficiency with financial software; Great Plains experience highly preferred.Skilled with vendor management and agreements.A willingness to be hands-on when needed.Please be sure to fully complete your application through our online application portal.
