Your Responsibilities Include

    • Assist in drafting media plans, internal messaging, and creating press materials, including press releases, talking points, statements, media advisories, and op-eds.
    • Conduct research, build and maintain press lists, organize local press events and interviews, and track and report media coverage.
    • Support media pitching efforts, including drafting pitches, emailing & calling reporters, and scheduling interviews.
    • Assist with providing local staffers with messaging prep and guidance for media interviews and speaking events, including basic media training.
    • Maintain regular communication with LIBRE Field Directors and collaborate with the regional communications team to coordinate media efforts for state-led campaigns.
    • Provide additional administrative support to the communications capability and work on ad-hoc projects as needed.
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
    • 2+ years of experience in Capitol Hill, campaign, or similar fast-paced communications/press environments.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
    • Strong alignment with Stand Together's vision and mission.
    • Contribution mindset and ability to thrive in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
    • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize.
    • Passion for working with the media and eagerness to take on new challenges.
What We Offer
    • A meaningful career where your work will improve the lives of millions of Americans - especially the least fortunate
    • A vision-driven community of over 1,000 employees across the country who are dedicated to improving the lives of others

    • Our flexible time-off policy allows all employees to take leave as needed
    • A purchasing credit card to use for business expenses
    • Mileage reimbursement for business travel separate from your commute
    • Commuter assistance plans to offset the cost of commuting into our headquarters (on-site parking or metro)
    • Opportunities for professional development and mentorship that can strengthen your effectiveness through Principle Based Management and other industry specific programs
