A Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for working alongside a healthcare team in a retail cannabis dispensary environment. This role reports directly to the Dispensary Manager.Highlighted ResponsibilitiesParticipates in our startup team to help educate and safely deliver medication to medical cannabis patients.Assists patients and caregivers through the dispensary process/experienceHelps to trains other team members in the use of cannabis-based medicinesCompletes operational requirements by maintaining an organized work flow; verifying preparation and labeling of medications, verifying order entries and chargesMust comply with all state laws and regulationsParticipates in recordkeeping and reporting necessary for State ComplianceMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with custodial procedures, rules, and regulations. Must adhere to infection-control standards such as handwashingWorks on company initiatives to achieve set goals and performance indicatorsEducates patients on the proper use and storage of medical cannabis medicationsAssists patients in determining the best treatment course under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and in conjunction with a provider's recommendationProvides exceptional customer service to patients, potential patients, caregivers, and providersMaintains cash register and accountability for assigned drawerCompletes opening/closing procedures as assignedUtilizes computer systems and programs appropriately for daily operations such as patient communication, refill orders, making appointments and home deliveriesAssists with the incoming orders, shipments, and deliveries of suppliesAttends staff meetings, continuing education, as directedMaintains and safeguards entrusted confidential informationWorks with eCommerce platform to review and approve online orders and patient accountsAssists patients in utilizing the eCommerce platform in order to obtain medical cannabis medicationsAbility to pass background check and drug test as required by law.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsA high school diploma and 1-3 years' experience in a retail environmentProficiency with MS Office requiredExperience working in a healthcare setting is preferredExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenAbility to work in a team environment, as well as independentlyAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAdaptable to change in the work environmentAt least 21 years of age as required by lawWeekend availabilityEEO StatementVireo Health, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. www.vireohealth.com
