Last Energy seeks a Mechanical Engineer with a product-oriented background who has skills across materials, geometries, and manufacturing methods. The Mechanical Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge hardware engineering solutions.Key Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan, design, and execute large industrial capital projects in the power generation sector.Mechanical design, hand calculations, authoring technical reports, and generating analysis requirements for componentsResponsible for designing and analyzing tanks, pressure vessels, or related components.Integrating various mechanical systems and components to ensure they work together seamlessly.Actively participating in the physical integration of components and systems. This includes hands-on work to assemble, calibrate, and test hardware prototypes, ensuring that they meet design specifications.Designing fixtures and tooling to aid in the assembly, testing, and manufacturing processesManaging and coordinating projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting, to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.Optimize designs for ease of manufacturing, which includes considering assembly methods, tolerances, and minimizing manufacturing complexitiesContribute to the design of reactor internalsOther tasks as assignedQualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldMaster's degree is strongly preferred4-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering or mechanical design for innovative product development, R&D, manufacturing, fabrication or related fieldsPE not requiredProficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and finite element analysis toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of materials selection, stress analysis, and thermal designExcellent communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teamsCreative thinking and a passion for innovation in mechanical designLast Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
