Job description

Overview:Ruppert Landscape is a family and employee-owned commercial landscape construction and management company headquartered in Montgomery County, MD with operations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Delaware and Tennessee. Our mission is to provide opportunity for our people, take excellent care of our customers, and be good stewards of the environment and our community.Responsibilities:Ruppert Landscape is looking for an Senior Accountant to oversee all aspects of the companys transactional accounting and treasury functions, including resource allocation and system monitoring. This accountant will be responsible for ensuring their team is completing all daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks timely and accurately. This accountant will provide reporting and analytics on their function specialties to managers throughout the company. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will manage a team of eight (including two direct reports).Responsibilities:Manage and mentor the AP team, AR team, and staff accountant, and be responsible for the performance of those teamsEvaluate the personnel needs of the AP & AR teams and deploy a strategy of utilizing resources in the most efficient and effective mannerEnsure that all processes and procedures are documented, understood by all team members, applied consistently, and updated when necessaryWork with stakeholders to establish expectations for the timing and format of deliverables, and monitor the teams performance over time to ensure that all expectations are metIdentify opportunities for process improvements, and lead the effort to implement those improvementsCollaborate with IT to ensure that all systems used by their team are functioning as designedReconcile all general ledger accounts associated with AP & AR, and other accounts as needed.Provide periodic and ad-hoc reporting and analysis to executive and division management.Prepare cash flow reporting, reconcile bank accounts, and perform various treasury functionsAssist with audit documentationTrack and report on KPIs related to AP, AR, and treasury functionsComplete special projects as assigned to support the Accounting departmentQualifications:Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Accounting (required)CPA (preferred)Proven management experienceA mastery of fundamental accounting principlesProficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent written and oral communication skillsHighly developed attention to detailThe ability to master an ERP as a user and also in a support capacityAn aptitude for process improvementUncompromising integrityEnthusiastic customer service skillsA positive attitude and team-oriented mentalityWhat we provide:Competitive salary ($70-85k)Medical benefits with dental and visionFlexible Spending Account401(k) planFlexible work/life balanceFamily-oriented company cultureRuppert Landscape is an Equal Opportunity and E-verify Employer#J-18808-Ljbffr
