Our customers operates at the forefront of technology, dealing with some of the most advanced defense, geospatial, and intelligence systems in the world.Chantilly, VA - Government SiteTS/SCI CI Poly required to StartPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: LocalPosition DescriptionOur client is seeking a Linux System Administrator to work with a focused and fun team to engineer, build, deploy, and maintain multiple environments for the purpose of development, testing, and production hosting of custom enterprise business applications on behalf of a government customer. You will be providing onsite and remote support of Tier 1 -3 engineering support requests. Infrastructures consist of various Desktops, Servers, Storage, Networks, and Virtual technologies.Responsibilities:Administrator of Linux servers and MySQL database servers in an AWS cloud environment.Administrator of cloud environments AWS/Azure and usage of cloud services.Contribute to application and database migration activities.Develop scripts for automation of build-out, maintenance, and configuration of virtualized systems.Deployment of updates, IAVA patches, and Anti-Virus updates.Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and communications problems.Maintains web application hosting systems to include web servers, database servers, and associated development systems (e.g., Team Foundation Server)Maintains system reliability and uptime of production applications by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.Contributes to system configuration management in accordance with contract inventory and customer requirements.Create, update, and maintain technical documentation including process diagrams, standard operating procedures, and system documentation.What you will bring to us (Requirements):Top Secret SCI with CI Poly Required to Start3+ years of Systems Administration Experience

Understanding of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, Centos, Ubuntu, Fedora, Scientific Linux, Debian, Amazon L2 etc.).Ability to research the latest technological developments in relevant operating systems to identify impact and anticipate changes in the organization s operating environment.Ability to work collaboratively in a team.Experience Configuring and maintaining Linux servers.Demonstrated experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) (C2S) systems administration.Experience deploying AWS features (Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancer, CloudWatch, Lambda, Elastic Container Service).Experience with scripting tools (PowerShell, JSON, BASH and PYTHONExperience with infrastructure troubleshooting, to include direct interaction with vendors and service providers.Experience patching and updating Linux server operating systems and configuring Linux server network integration.Experience in the design, implementation, procurement, tradecraft, or maintenance of various layers of network infrastructure.
