  • Develops, analyzes and assists in the implementation of policies, procedures and programs applicable to all types of direct and concessionaire operated food services activities in collaboration with the Vice President, Enterprise Food Service and the District Vice President.
  • Makes periodic and frequent inspections of all food services locations within the specified Region. Partners with the GMs (and CORs) to identify and execute action to correct deficiencies and maximize operational performance in accordance with industry and brand standards. Follows up to ensure that prompt and proper corrective action has been taken.
  • Coaches and trains GMs and CORs on basic food service oversight standards and contract management.
  • Supports the CORs on contracting issues and problem resolution with their Region.
  • Works with the GMs to appropriately analyze and develop new business opportunities on a given Installation.
  • Reviews and analyzes operating data to measure financial viability relative to efficiency and trends. Evaluates effectiveness and prepares analysis report of same; also reviews estimated budget, data forecast in subject operational area and recommends approval or revision.
  • Analyzes financial statements and other pertinent data to evaluate operational efficiency. Develops and controls an operating budget to include sales, profits, direct and indirect costs.
  • Establishes and maintains constructive relationships with key government military and civilian personnel and corporate representatives in order to gain concurrence of new concepts affecting trends of the program
  • Responsible for supporting customer service programs, operational reporting and inventory control in the specified Region.
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of reports and the maintenance of operating records/files.
  • Prepares and delivers substantive briefings to senior government officials, and contractors on current o proposed operations
  • Conducts visits to NEX food service operations to review performance and monitoring efforts of NEXCOM operating procedures. Makes recommendations during such visits to improve operational efficiency and assists in their implementation as required.
  • Studies technical publications for new and improved methods, equipment, supplies or other similar items for possible application to food services operations. Attends trade shows, conferences or seminars to keep abreast of new industry developments in merchandising of all types of food services items, pricing, display and distribution techniques, storage and any technological changes in the field.
  • Carries out EEO policies and communicates support to subordinates.
  • Works under the general supervision of the Vice President, Enterprise Food Service, who establishes priorities, deadlines, and determines the scope of assignments.
