The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the oncology pharmaceutical sales landscape and will be comfortable providing leadership and direction to a sales team of approximately 6-8 sales representatives in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US.

Responsibilities:

Development & execution of sales strategies and strategic plansAccompanies sales reps on calls to evaluate techniques; assists in closing key accounts. Represent company at professional meetings & conventionsEnsures compliance and execution of sales initiatives by continuously reviewing, monitoring sales plans, sales reporting information, key statistics and directing sales activitiesOversee compliance with all required administrative tasks such as expense reporting, call reporting, etc.Develops and ensures adherence to strategic sales plans with VP of Oncology SalesEnsure sales representatives are conducting their duties in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policiesActively participates in regional as well as national sales call and meetings.Demonstrated leadership capabilities, financial management and written & oral communication skillsEnsures effective management and utilization of CRM tool.Identifies deficiencies in skills among sales representatives managed, and works to improve individuals capabilities through coaching, development, and trainingPerforms other tasks as assigned.Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Qualifications:

Education/Learning ExperienceRequired: Bachelor degree in health care, business, or pharmacy administrationDesired: Master DegreeWork ExperienceRequired: Minimum of 3 years Pharmaceutical or Specialty Pharmacy field management. Proven sales track record indicating accomplishment and successesSkills/KnowledgeRequired: Demonstrated analytical skills to help define and establish strategies and action plans. Demonstrated understanding of oncology therapeutic area, products and marketplace. Familiar with trade relations, reimbursement environment, government programs, managed care, formulary and contract negotiation. Strong presentation, organization, administrative and communication skillsDesired: Excel, Word, Outlook and Sales CRM ToolsBehavior CompetenciesRequired: Extensive travel within the assigned regional territory (70%). Must live in region with immediate access to airport and transportation.
