Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated data scientist to custom-develop or leverage AI/ML-enabled applications for optical character recognition, automation, predictive modeling, pattern analysis, and fraud detection. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to conceive and deliver innovative AI solutions to the U.S. Public Sector to help address critical national and global challenges such as health, climate change and national security. This individual will join our Business Intelligence Systems and Analytics (BISA) practice in the DC Metro Area but with the flexibility to work from home. As a part of the rapidly expanding CGS BISA practice, the candidate will also help our clients develop, deploy, and modernize their data pipelines using a combination of Big Data, AI/ML, and Visualization solutions.At Capgemini, we are committed to our staff s professional development and offer a wide range of training and educational resources. Our practice leaders work with every team member to chart appropriate career paths and goals to ensure that we all stay innovative and transformative, which maximizes our ability to scale up our solutions, keep up with the cutting edge, and bring the art of what s possible to the Federal Government.Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Data Scientist you will:Provide subject matter expertise in matters of data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to an entrepreneurial and high performing teamCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify optical character recognition, automation, predictive modeling, pattern analysis, natural language processing, fraud detection, and other business cases for using data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligenceDrive data science, ML, and AI-related solutions based on evaluation of requirements, resources, and alternativesConduct exploratory data analysis to evaluate data pipelines and construct data stores (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured) as needed to feed frameworks/modelsDevelop custom algorithms, frameworks, and models or leverage available tools, libraries, and applications to solve complex problemsConduct training, testing, and continuous improvement of solutionsDeploy data science and AI/ML solutions and develop methodologies to scale upApply additional big data, visualization, master data management, cloud computing, and other solutions in combination with data science, ML, and AI to increase value to clientsPresent and articulate findings and present solutions to clients and team membersMaintain knowledge of advances of AI and scalable computing in industry and academiaContribute to the overall growth of the BISA s AI practiceRequired QualificationsU.S. Citizenship is requiredEligible to obtain and maintain a Government Security ClearanceBachelor s degree or higher in data science, statistics, computer science, economics, mathematics, information systems, or similar field preferredMinimum of two (2) years of professional experience with data science/AI/ML-delivery responsibilities such as:Designing and developing data models and algorithmsBuilding and deploying predictive and prescriptive analyticsConducting hypothesis testing, statistical and probability analysesDeveloping and implementing data stores such as SQL Server and AccessExperience programming in languages such as Python, R, Scala, SQL, JavaScript, C/C++, and JavaExperience using libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark ML/MLlib, and JupyterExperience using tools such as Azure s Machine Learning and Cognitive Services; AWS s SageMaker, Polly and Rekognition; DataRobot; or H2O.aiExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and stay flexible in a dynamic work environmentNice to have skills/qualificationsActive Government Security clearanceData Science, ML, AI, or Cloud certificationsExperience working in an IT project team following SDLC and DevOps methodologiesExperience working with big data distributed programming languages and ecosystems such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Pig, or KafkaExperience with designing and building cloud-based databases, data lakes, and data warehousesExperience with Deep Learning methods in NLP, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and graph theory and databasesExperience in creating custom intelligence-based RPA solutions using UiPath or Power Automate
