Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking a Radar Mission Systems Engineer to support an Intelligence customer in Chantilly, VA. The chosen candidate should be capable of working with a high performing team providing engineering of RADAR capabilities for Space and Intelligence, as well as serve our decision makers and warfighters by providing Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) across multiple emerging software segments developed and delivered across cloud and on premises. This is an onsite position.

Key Duties:

  • Focus on providing engineering and project management of System of System (SoS) software solutions defining Solution Epics, Architectures diagrams, and tracking dependencies.
  • Analyze interfaces and schedules to maximize iterative integration opportunities and verify acceptance criteria via Solution Demonstrations and Enterprise Tests.
  • Facilitate integration focused Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) and frequently brief recommendations to senior Government representatives.
  • Define Agile Solution Epics to ensure interfaces are well defined, CONOPS is fully represented, and data definitions and dependencies are documented to enable development and integration.
  • Analyze Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Requests for Changes (RFCs), assessing what modifications and enhancements are needed for future capabilities.
  • Create architecture diagrams such as: System View 1 (SV-1) and sequence diagrams to articulate how data flows across multiple software segments to exchange messages and produce Intelligence.
  • Evaluate RADAR data and metadata exchanges across software systems to enable end to end data collection and processing.
  • Plan and orchestrate Informal Integration Windows (IIWs) and Solution Demonstrations to iteratively integrate and conduct early Verification and Validation.
  • Support enterprise cross-organization formal System Tests prior to major software deliveries into Operations.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) and/or Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT).
  • Knowledge of GEOINT systems, CONOPS, and metadata.
  • Experience with requirements, architecture and interface analysis, Agile integration, and informal/formal testing.
  • Strong representational, oral, and written communications skills; including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products.
  • Proven organization and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with personnel at all levels of government.
  • Bachelor of Science or Arts and 10-12 years of experience, Master of Science or Arts and 8-10 years of experience, or Ph.D. and 5 or more years of experience.
