The TMCI Data Quality Group is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic team in the healthcare sector. As a Healthcare IT Data Scientist, you will play a vital role in leveraging data analytics and machine learning to drive actionable insights and innovations that enhance patient care, improve healthcare operations, and support strategic decision-making. This role is within a government context requiring U.S. citizenship, a college degree, and eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Data Analysis and Modeling:

Utilize data mining and statistical analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex healthcare datasets.

Develop predictive and prescriptive models to address healthcare-related challenges, such as patient outcomes, disease prediction, resource allocation, and cost optimization.

2.

Data Preprocessing:

Clean, preprocess, and curate large healthcare datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity.

Collaborate with data engineers to access, transform, and structure data for analysis.

3.

Machine Learning:

Develop and implement machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics, risk assessment, and personalized healthcare.

Use natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision for unstructured data analysis in healthcare records and medical imaging.

4.

Healthcare Insights:

Collaborate with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to identify data-driven insights and solutions that enhance patient care and healthcare operations.

5.

Data Visualization:

Create meaningful data visualizations and reports to communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

6.

Compliance and Security:

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and implement security measures to protect sensitive patient data.

7.

Research and Innovation:

Stay updated on the latest healthcare research, technologies, and trends to continuously improve and innovate in the healthcare analytics domain.

Qualifications:

Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance.

Eligibility for Government security clearance.

Proven experience as a Data Scientist in the healthcare industry, or relevant role in the field.

Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly in English.

Proven experience as a Data Scientist in the healthcare industry.

Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, R), machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards, terminologies (ICD-10, SNOMED), and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Understanding of healthcare compliance and regulations, including HIPAA.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced information technology data quality team environment servicing the healthcare industry.

Salary Range: The salary range noted represents the company s minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The salary made at offering for this position is based on a comprehensive evaluation of candidates' skills, years of experience, and directly related expertise to the specific requirements of the role. Compensation will be determined considering various factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, competencies, and alignment with the responsibilities outlined in the job description.
