Our work with the Dept of Veteran Affairs delivers clinical care to Veterans by managing the logistics and flow of supplies and equipment. Supply Chain Management (SCM) ensures that the right equipment and supplies are available when needed, and the Supply Chain Management Product Line (SCM PL) encompasses the activities to procure resources, manage supplies, and deliver goods and services to providers and patients.

What is the position?

Cognosante is seeking a Software Development Engineer with diverse experience in software development projects. The Software Development Engineer serves as a key member of the software development team within an Agile Release Team. Responsibilities include writing code to address specified requirements within user stories, participation in daily scrum meetings, testing code, recommendations for improved code sets, grooming sprint backlog, determining next development cycle from sprint backlog. This is a remote role.

Develop, deploy, and support source code for UX and back-end cloud-based solutions within an Agile Release Team.

What qualifications do I need?

8 years of coding experienceRecent experience with JavaScript, Java, C#, JQuery and Web application development experienceExperience with open-source technology technologies in a high-volume distributed environmentExperience in working CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tekton)Experience working with DevSecOps (building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines)Understanding and experience with industry standard testing practicesMust be a proactive self-starter, effective communicator, and team collaborator focused on accountability and quality resultsExperience working with the Federal Government.Must be able to achieve a moderate (Tier 2) VA position of trust

Compensation

$113,927.72 - $187,981.83

The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may be taken into consideration - contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. The estimate displayed represents the salary range for this position and is just one component of Cognosante s total compensation package for employees.
