Description The Multi-Domain Solutions Division at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Systems Engineer to work in our Reston, VA or Alexandria, VA office.Ability to work in Northern Virginia is preferred. Candidate working from remote locations will also be considered. This position is contingent upon contract award.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for enterprise technical planning, system hardware-software-network design management, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding. Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. Duties include performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.Interface with Air Force, Industry (including University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs), Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS)), and other performers to ensure program network requirements and operational objectives are metInterface with the ABMS performers and facilitate integration into a larger system-of-systems modelDesigning and implementing robust configuration managementRisk Management of Designs and DeploymentsFacilitate technical and programmatic information exchange in support of program objectivesParticipate in Working Groups and IPTs, informal and formal technical interchanges, and formal reviewsDevelop technical roadmaps; establish and maintain reference architecturesDocument interfaces and standards Lead staff to achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction and maintain Leidos positive brand recognitionManage organizational compliance with Leidos policies and proceduresBy personal example, set the tone and direction for moral and ethical leadershipBuild a culture grounded in the Leidos values, beliefs and expectations and highest standards of ethical and respectful behaviorBasic Qualifications:BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experienceDemonstrated knowledge of systems engineering concepts and applying these concepts to Department of Defense programs, including risk managementStrong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systemsDemonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activitiesAbility to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experienceFamiliarity with Cloud and Edge Computing, Networks, Tactical Communications, Data Management, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, and C4ISR systems integrationPrior experience with configuration management design and deploymentExperience in Integration, test, verification, and validationPrior experience with Model Based Systems EngineeringDemonstrated experience with Agile program execution and using agile tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence)Clearance Required:Must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearancePreferred Qualifications:Prior experience working on ABMS or JADC2 initiativesPrior experience designing and deployment networksPrior experience with SAFe Agile implementationPrior experience support Department of the Air Force programsPrevious experience working on complex multi-domain systemsExperience with large weapons systems and command and control platforms across the DoD portfolioOriginal Posting Date:2024-04-24While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
