Job description

Consumers' Checkbook is hiring a Business Data Analyst to support the publishing operations of the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of a dynamic team that strives to deliver Checkbook's ratings and advice to as many consumers as possible.

The Research Analyst/Associate will report to the Director of Marketing & Fundraising, while working closely with other members of the CSS/Consumers' Checkbook team. The position is based in our Washington, DC office, conveniently located near Farragut Square. This position will be on a hybrid schedule, meaning the candidate will be required to work in office 3 days per week with the option to work from home up to 2 days per week. Equipment will be provided.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, economics, or related field.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from complex data sets.Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, or similar.Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.Strong organization and time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Passion for the nonprofit sector and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the publishing industry.Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, open to learning and contributing to the organization's goals.
