As a Principal Software Engineer, you are a technical leader at this company. You will lean on your extensive experience to set development trends and architectural direction for your team and the Engineering organization as a whole. You have a track record of proven success delivering projects of critical priority. You will bridge the gap between Engineering and other stakeholders such as Architecture, Ops, Product and even senior management. The Impact You Will Make Here

Lead TCGplayer in the vetting, selection and implementation of a sales tax calculation platform that will allow us to expand into new international markets.

Re-architect our fee processing system to be configurable and dynamic to support our ever growing business needs.

Re-architect our seller payment platform to ensure that our sellers are paid accurately and reliably.

Eliminate fraudulent actors on our platform to create a more trusted marketplace for buyers and sellers.

Implement RBAC into your solutions so that we have the internal controls necessary to support SOX compliance.

What You Bring to the Team

Bachelor s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or a combination of education and experience

12+ years of software development experience, with C# (ASP.Net/.Net Core)

Significant experience in high volume production systems design with consideration for high availability, disaster recovery, performance, fault tolerance, and security

Expert knowledge of database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, etc) and NoSQL stores ( Redis, Firestore, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)

Expert knowledge of event/stream processing mechanisms, specifically Kafka, but also with AWS SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ, or AzureBus

Experience designing and developing microservices in an AWS cloud based architecture

Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership and collaboration skills

You ll Go Beyond If You Have

Experience with omni-channel eCommerce and transaction-based applications

Interest and experience within the hobby gaming industry

Experience with ERP platforms, SOX compliance

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.$149,200 - $234,850

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employees will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.Please see the
